At Debbie Cameron Physiotherapy, we are committed to delivering expert, evidence-based physiotherapy care in a professional and compassionate environment. Our practice is proudly accredited by the South African Society of Physiotherapy and operates from two convenient locations: Hillcrest Medical Centre and Meyrickton Park Medical Centre, situated in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal. Our dedicated team is led by founder Debbie Cameron, a highly experienced physiotherapist with a longstanding reputation for clinical excellence and community involvement.

Debbie Cameron holds two degrees; a BSc in Physiotherapy and one in Anatomical Science from the University of Cape Town. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Sports’ Medicine through the University of Pretoria. Over the course of her distinguished career, she has completed a wide range of postgraduate training, including Orthopaedic Manual Therapy diploma (OMTPG), Expert Report Writing diploma through the Faculty of Law at UCT and the FIFA Sports Medicine Diploma.  Her expertise also includes the New York Method Pilates where she has gained competency in basic and intermediate Pilates programmes, including the use of Pilates equipment such as the Pilates’ Reformer and Wunda Chair. Debbie is a  certificated practitioner for the STarT Back programme and Melbourne University’s PEAK knee programme. Debbie has held key leadership roles in the South African Society of Physiotherapy, serving as Public Relations Officer and later Chairperson for the KZN Coastal District. Among her achievements, she served as physiotherapist to President Nelson Mandela from 1996 to 1997, received the Copeland’s Memorial Award for the best final-year thesis, and was a finalist for the Business Woman of the Year KZN (2017). Outside of her clinical work, she has a rich sporting history, including several years with the Ama-Angels mountain biking team and leadership roles during her school years.

Working alongside Debbie is a dynamic team of physiotherapists who each bring unique strengths to the practice. Marine Pfeiffer, a 2022 graduate of the University of the Free State, was awarded for best academic performance in her final year. She is certified with Level 1 dry needling, as well as sports-specific strapping and taping. Marine’s background as a provincial-level swimmer brings a practical understanding of athletic rehabilitation and performance.

Peter Pfeiffer holds two degrees: one in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State and another in Human Movement Sciences and Physiology from North-West University. He achieved FIFA Sports Medicine Diploma (2025). Peter’s qualifications include Muscle Power Testing using a computerised Dynometer, Level 1 dry needling, comprehensive strapping for athletes, and Level 1 coaching certifications in hockey and athletics. A black belt in karate, Peter represented Namibia in two Karate World Cups (2010 and 2014), played regional-level hockey and is also a certified Level 1 rugby referee. His combined academic and sporting background offers valuable insight into high-performance rehabilitation.

Megan Fryer brings a well-rounded and continually developing clinical skillset to the team as the Senior Managing Physiotherapist of Debbie Cameron Physiotherapy practice.  She has achieved the FIFA Sports Medicine Diploma and is a qualified Pilates’ instructor of  Pilates Matwork (Beginner and Intermediate) through the accredited Pilates Academy of South Africa based in Cape Town.
